How much are the assessments?
$400 semi-annually due January 1st ($200) and July 1st ($200). Late fees of $25 late fee, $10 collections fee; 8% per year interest, will be assessed if we do not receive them by the 30th of the month. I used to pay two assessments; one was every other month. Was that HOA? The semi-annual assessment is the HOA assessment. The bi-monthly assessment was the Metro District. As of January 2019, the Metro District assessment has been included in your property taxes. If you have any questions regarding this, please c the Metro District.
What do assessments cover?
Covenant protection, design review administration, homeowner communication, trash removal, HOA insurance, audit and taxes and underdrain maintenance.Social activities are now provided through the Metro District.
How do I pay my assessments?
There are three options. (1) Set up a direct debit with the automatic withdrawal form: This is a free option and pulls twice a year as well as anytime there is a balance, between the 3rd and the 10th, and will not stop until you tell us via email to stop it. (2) Set up your own bank's bill pay or mail a check. Checks should be made out to Tollgate Crossing HOA; c/o AMI; PO Box 66095; Phoenix AZ 85082-6095. Be sure to include your account #. When and where are the HOA Board Meetings?
Board meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Meetings are held at the Clubhouse and virtually via Zoom. A link to join the meeting via Zoom or phone is provided before the meeting to homeowners signed up on the HOA website.
How do I get a key card for the pool and clubhouse? / Who do I contact about common area landscape or irrigation?
Clubhouse facilities, access, reservations, and common area landscape/irrigation are managed by the Metro District: www.tollgatecrossingmetro.org/
My trash bin is broken. How do I get a new one? Or my trash was missed.
Email clientcare@amihoa.com with name and address and which bin needs to be replaced. We forward this to the dispatch team for the HOA at Waste Management. They will provide a delivery ticket.
I need an extra trash bin. The one provided is not enough for my family and they won't take my extra bags.
The 2nd trash cart is free but must be requested by calling Waste Management - 303-797-1600. There are charges payable directly to Waste Management should the homeowner need more than two trash carts.
My mailbox key is missing, or my mailbox is broken.

Am I responsible for shoveling my sidewalk?

Does the HOA plow the streets of snow?

Does the HOA control parking in the community?
No. The streets are owned and controlled by the City of Aurora. If someone is parking illegally, please call the non-emergency number for the Aurora Police Department. What if a car seems abandoned and hasn't moved? Please call the City of Aurora (303) 739-7000 – https://www.auroragov.org/residents/public_safety/public_safety_communications/abandoned_vehicles – they will tag the car and tow it if it does not get moved.
My neighbor's dog barks continually. What can I do?
The HOA can send out one notice to the neighbor, but if they say their dog isn't barking, it then becomes a neighbor to neighbor issue. What colors can I paint my home?
Approved paint schemes can be found here: https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/hoa/aurora/co/tollgate-crossing-homeowners-association-inc/ Owners must select from the Association approved colors, and submit a request for approval to the design review committee prior to making any exterior changes to their home.

Do I have to have approval to put a hot tub, playset or add plants in my back yard?
Yes, our community covenants stipulate that any change you want to make to the exterior of your home and yard require prior approval. Please submit a request to clientcare@amihoa.com; ensure a faster turnaround by making sure you supply all requested information.

How do I submit my request?
New design review requests can be uploaded to the HOA portal by going to your Homeowner Dashboard: https://home.amihoa.com/login?c=tcha. Alternatively, you may send your application & attachments to clientcare@amihoa.com.
How can I check on the status of my request?
The status and questions posted by the Design Review Committee (DRC) can be viewed in the portal by going to Association Business and Architectural Control. The status can be viewed in the portal at any time. You may also send an email to clientcare@amihoa.com anytime for an update.
My request still says “Under Review” and I don't see any comments from the DRC.
“Under Review” means the DRC is still reviewing your request. The DRC has up to 45 days to review a request. If the DRC has any questions about your request, you will be able to view them in the portal.
I don't remember my portal login information. How can I reset my login?
If you know your username and can't remember your password, you can reset your password by selecting “Forgot your password” at the login screen: www.amihoa.com. If you don't remember your username or have yet to receive it, you can request a login at clientcare@amihoa.com.
Do I have to obtain approval to remove a dead tree?
Only if you plan not to replace the tree, especially if the tree is in the front yard.
How long does it take to get a decision on my request?
The Design Review Committee has up to 30 days to make a decision once all the required information is received. You can accelerate your request by reviewing the checklist following the design request forms to ensure all required information is provided.
Are there any exterior projects, changes, or additions that do not require prior approval?
Some additions, such as flower boxes and storm doors, do not require approval. It is highly recommended the guidelines are reviewed before you start your project to determine if your project will require approval from the design review committee.
What are the minimum landscape requirements? Is there an approved tree list? What are the fence maintenance guidelines?
The Minimum Front Yard Requirements policy, Board-Approved Tree List, and Fence Maintenance Guidelines will be posted on the DRC page. In the meantime, request copies from clientcare@amihoa.com.
